The metalcore/alternative metal track delivers Effy's compelling vocal melodies and haunting orchestration with entwining guitars, fierce instrumentation and anthemic elements. Leaning into a darker and heavier style, "Infiltrate" sees The Effigy perform harsh vocals for the first time on a release and draws their ethereality into a fierce and powerful offering.
The Effigy comments: "'Infiltrate' is a song about being deceived and lied to, and trying to break free, but finding yourself inexplicably tethered to the abuse. Originally, 'Infiltrate' was one of my calmer, more introspective tracks, but when Tim came on board, we decided to twist the song to better represent the emotion behind the lyrics. Tim added a much-needed aggression to the track with the addition of a breakdown and encouraged me to step outside of my comfort zone and try harsh vocals for the first time". Link
