Swedish atmospheric/symphonic black metallers Mist Of Misery just announced that their new EP Shackles Of Life will be released on 31st August via Black Lion Records. The band has now finally completed the work in the studio, as well they finished the mastering.
Mist Of Misery will actually release two EP's this year, Shackles Of Life and Fields Of Isolation, the first one, Shackles Of Life, is featuring some of the most gloomy and utter beautiful crafted work in a long time. It's simply one of those albums/EPs that rarely comes out, and if you enjoyed bands debut Absence, released last year, then this will be a step above. Both EP's were mastered by Ronnie Björnström Of Defitory at EAP MiX Room, known for working with bands like Bodyfarm, Aeon, Cut Up,... so expect nothing but greatness of pure melody and melancholy. More details were previously posted over HERE.
In other news, Mist Of Misery are sad to reveal that this EP marks the departure of Erik Molnar's from Mist Of Misery, unfortunatelly he's being busy with recording and writing for the new Hyperion album. The band comments: "We are of course very sad to see Erik go, but we know he does it for the best as well as for personal reasons. Erik will of course still linger around for this EP to watch as everyone absorbs it."
The first single out from Shackles Of Life is planned to be released in the first week of July including the opening for pre-orders. Link
