MELANCULIA - Working On A New Album And Preparing For Live Shows

Nino Sable, better known as the singer of premiere German dark rockers Aeon Sable, decided to revive his old project named Melanculia. Nino started with Melanculia back in 2002, was later joined by Din-Tah Aeon (Aeon Sable guitarist), and they released two albums, The Dazed Prophet in 2010 and Paths in 2013. Melanculia was then put on the ice.
Now Nino is working on a new Melanculia album and together with Jo (bass), Quoth (guitars), both in Aeon Sable, plus Drobi (drums), are preparing everything for upcoming live shows under the flag of this new/old project.
Nino commented: "Well... Melanculia... Melanculia has been sleeping a few years and I really thought I would never touch it. And then - one day, I decided that the time was right to work on an album all by myself. So I concentrated on what I had build up inside and started working on a new album. First... I did like 30 very shitty songs and then... with the time I found the spirit again and now I have like nine brand new tracks on record. I nearly forgot about Melanculia while I was the superstar in front of Aeon Sable. But now I found my way, back to my roots and it feels good to be home again. With the developement of the new album I felt the need to perform Melanculia live. Something I never did before. Or, yes, I did before, but only as a one-man-show (one man, one guitar). So I asked around - some friends of mine and a lot of them agreed to cooperate with me in order to get Melanculia live on stage as a band experience. Now we are having our first Melanculia concert on 1st December at Druckluft in Oberhausen, Germany."
