Austrian experimental ghost wave/dark ambient act The Devil & The Universe are just about to release their brand new EP entitled What Time Is Love?. EP will consist of the title track, actually a cover of KLF's 1990 hit, plus three previously unreleased songs and will be released by [aufnahme + wiedergabe] on 28th June. Pre-orders are already available at this location. There's no secret that The Devil & The Universe were formed by charismatic Ashley Dayour (better known as a vocalist/guitarist in Whispers In The Shadow, Coma Divine, ex L'Âme Immortelle) and David Pfister.
This are the words that the Goats stated about the upcoming EP: "The British pop-art formation KLF released their seminal single "What Time Is Love" in 1990 setting a musical standard with regards to the notion of being permanently over the top. This sort of consequent escapism dogma, pertaining to the scope between all that is earnest and parody, is a manifest The Devil & The Universe can definitely relate to. As a lead-up to the unveiling of the Viennese band’s second album (to be released by the Berlin label [aufnahme + wiedergabe] this autumn), a KLF-tribute vinyl EP named What Time Is Love? will make the soundtrack of summer that much cooler. Aside from the KLF cover, the EP will include three previously unreleased tracks: label-mates Black Egg’s remix of "NOD" off of The Devil & The Universe’s first album Imprint Daath, the track "Womb Of The Night" which transcends all that is ‘Goat-Wave-Disco’, and the track "Elisa Fields" which explores the aesthetic iconography of spirituality and is dedicated to Elisa Lam."
Terra Relicta staff is very proud to offer you an exclusive pre-release premiere of the track "Womb Of The Night" which can be heard in the Soundcloud player below! So, Kiss the Goat and be consumed by the coldness of the night!
