Australian symphonic metal five‑piece ANA have shared the "Hate Me" video single from their forthcoming debut full‑length, Motivated By Death, set for release on 29 May via Eclipse Records.
While many symphonic metal acts lean into fantasy tropes, ANA (Melbourne, Australia) define themselves as "couture metal" – a sophisticated, upscale evolution of the genre that prioritises high‑fashion theatricality alongside punishing sonic precision. Fans of Nightwish, Evanescence, and Epica will find plenty to appreciate here, yet ANA maintain a distinct edge. By integrating a multimedia universe that includes an official comic‑book series and a feature‑length documentary entitled Watch Me As I Rise, they have created an experience that extends far beyond the music alone.
Their debut full‑length, Motivated By Death, marks the emergence of a new era in Australian heavy music. The album was mixed at Monolith Studios and engineered by Chris Themelco, well known for his work with bands such as Eye Of The Enemy, Naberus, and Orpheus Omega. Link
