Italian darkwave act Chemical Waves will release on 3 October a new album, entitled Our Love In A Dying World. The album consists of eight songs that dive deep into vulnerability, grief, and fragile hope, unfolding in a world on the verge of collapse. It's a cohesive and emotional journey, beginning with surrender and ending with a solemn final march.
Our Love In A Dying World blends melancholic darkwave and stripped-down, poetic lyrics. Chemical Waves on the new album evokes the image of a fragile yet powerful light in the middle of darkness. It suggests that even when everything around us is falling apart—socially, environmentally, or emotionally—love still exists. It becomes an act of resistance, a way of holding onto meaning when the world seems to be losing it. It is a concept album for those who listen with their whole soul, and for those who find truth in silence. For those who still live in the dark. For those who still listen when the world goes quiet.
Chemical Waves is for those who aren't afraid of the dark and know how to find light in its quiet corners. So far, the band has unveiled only one track, "The Door", which features The Spoiled and reflects emotional shutdown and the aching hope for reconnection. The cassette version of the album will be released via USA-based label Violet Hour Transmissions. Link
