Italian gothic rock collective Corvin — whose lineup includes members of Me And That Man, Shores Of Null, Guineapig, and Otus — return with a striking new single and video, “Disarm”, their brooding reinterpretation of the iconic track by The Smashing Pumpkins. The song appears on the band’s freshly released double single Dead End Pyre / Disarm, a work that once again highlights Corvin’s ability to merge raw intensity with fragile emotional depth.
“We chose ‘Disarm’ for its melancholy. The original track is essential and fragile, almost unfinished, and it felt like the perfect canvas for a gothic rock reinterpretation,” the band explains. By weaving in distorted guitars, pounding drums, and their signature shadow‑laden atmosphere — elements absent from the original — Corvin pushes the song into darker, more dramatic territory while preserving its emotional core.
Adding an extra layer of haunting beauty, the violin parts are performed by Sareeta, the renowned Norwegian musician known for her work with Ram‑Zet, Funeral, and Solefald.
