Greek gothic metal torchbearers Elysion have reaffirmed their alliance with German powerhouse label Massacre Records, extending a partnership that has endured for nearly two decades. This renewed agreement not only underscores the strength of their relationship but also heralds a future filled with bold new music for fans across the globe.
Massacre Records’ label manager Thomas Hertler expressed his delight: “I am very happy and proud that we could agree on a long-term contract extension with our Greek friends Elysion. The band began their journey with Massacre Records back in 2009 and have been an integral part of the label for 15 years now. Both sides are excited about this new chapter, and we look forward to some fantastic albums from Elysion in the years ahead. Σας ευχαριστώ για την εμπιστοσύνη σας.”
The band itself echoed this enthusiasm: “Elysion are proud to confirm the continuation of our collaboration with Massacre Records. United by a shared vision and creative drive, the partnership moves forward stronger than ever. With new music on the horizon and ambitious plans already taking shape, the next chapter will be louder, sharper, and true to our identity.”
Formed in 2006, Elysion have steadily carved its name into the European metal landscape with a distinctive blend of gothic atmosphere, melodic depth, and heartfelt intensity. Fronted by the commanding vocals of Christianna, alongside the razor‑edged guitars of NiD and Johnny Zero, and the thunderous rhythms of Jannis K, the band has become one of Greece’s most respected dark rock exports.
Their debut album Silent Scr3am (2009) introduced their potent fusion of gothic emotion and alternative metal energy. The follow‑up, Someplace Better (2014), expanded their sound with cinematic scope, while Bring Out Your Dead (2023) cemented their reputation as fearless artists unafraid to explore new emotional terrain.
For Massacre Records, the extension is more than a contractual formality — it is a renewed pledge to champion Elysion’s creativity and bring their vision to an ever‑growing international audience.
Stay tuned: the best of Elysion is yet to come, and together with Massacre Records, the band are poised to unveil their most ambitious chapter to date. Link
