German industrial/EBM icons KMFDM have released “Enemy”, the title track of their forthcoming album, due out on 6 February via Metropolis Records. Marking more than four decades of relentless artistic defiance, the band return with their 24th full‑length — a record forged in the spirit of resistance, critique, and the unmistakable Ultra Heavy Beat.

With society in turmoil and authoritarian rhetoric on the rise, KMFDM sharpen their message with characteristic bluntness. “In many countries all over the world, questionable leaders declare part of their populations as ‘enemies’. We are ENEMY!” the band states, underscoring the album’s confrontational stance.

The upcoming release also features the previously unveiled single “Oubliette” (check it out over HERE), named after the infamous dungeon accessible only through a trapdoor — a metaphor for confinement, erasure, and the impossibility of escape. The track further cements the album’s thematic focus on oppression, resistance, and the fractures of modern power structures.

However, the band’s plans have been impacted by a recent severe illness requiring medical treatment. As a result, KMFDM have postponed their nearly sold‑out European tour originally scheduled for February and March 2026. All purchased tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled dates, with updated information expected soon.

With Enemy, KMFDM reaffirm their legacy: uncompromising, politically charged, and louder than ever. Link
