Dark pop/futurepop duo Platronic have unveiled their new track, “Fortress Of Fools”, drawing inspiration from artists and icons such as Anne Clark, Propaganda, VNV Nation, and Erasure.
Kay, who has long been struggling to make sense of the daily madness in the world, had written a poem inspired by a well‑known fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen. Her initial intention was to create a storytelling ballad. However, when Sami presented her with a vibrant, danceable instrumental, the pair allowed the magic to unfold naturally.
Platronic is the collaborative project of Finnish composer/producer Sami and German singer/songwriter/co‑producer Kay Burden, founded in 2020. Influenced by bands including Depeche Mode, VNV Nation, and ABBA, the duo quickly developed a distinctive sound of their own.
They have rapidly made a name for themselves by blending emotional depth with innovative electronic elements and confidently crossing genre boundaries. Their motto, "Music That Makes Your Heart Beat Faster", reflects the passion and energy that define their work and is especially evident in their live performances. One such opportunity will take place on 22 August at the La Luna Obscura Festival in Belgium. Link
