Greek gothic rock trio The Black Capes returns to their lair for album number four. The introduction is made with "Lament XI". A mournful new single dives deep into their post-punk soul, echoing the ghostly echoes of Twin Tribes and She Past Away, while honouring the haunted grandeur of The Sisters Of Mercy and Fields Of The Nephilim.
"Lament XI" is a sonic funeral for a fallen friend. A tribute to lost souls and broken bonds, the track transforms grief into a gothic rock elegy—driven by powerful, echo-drenched guitars and deep, mournful vocals that resonate like a funeral bell in the dark.
You can catch The Black Capes perform on 20 September at the Bats in the Attic festival in Morecambe, UK and on 3 October with Tribulation in Athens, Greece. More album info should come soon, but for now, you should check out the video for "Lament XI" made by Sergio Ko and Please Insert Coin right below. Link
