We are excited to announce the launch of Hypnagoga Press a record label and publishing house owned by north Sweden based siblings Åsa and Pär Boström (Kammarheit, Cities Last Broadcast).
Mostly focusing on the siblings’ own music, literature and art, Hypnagoga Press will publish everything from limited fine art prints, children’s books and poetry, to dark ambient and classical music – all collected under one roof and carefully packaged. Hypnagoga Press unites the siblings’ aesthetics, influenced by their earlier collaborations, travels and shared interests, such as mysticism, experimental music and explorations of nostalgic and liminal atmospheres.
The first release on Hypnagoga Press will be Hymnambulae - Orgelhuset (The Organ House), a music project by Pär and Åsa. Together they’ve created an album largely consisting of tape recordings of organ, piano and voices, combined with deep droning ambient. Recorded during 2015, featuring flutes by Sergey Gabbasov. Orgelhuset was intended as a mythological house between worlds, a ceremony taking place – combining the siblings’ symbolism. Packaged as a digifile, a 32 page booklet and a slipcase with gold embossed letters, and limited to 800 copies. Mastered by Frederic Arbour. Link
