Swedish dark ambient act Cities Last Broadcast, a project by Pär Boström best known from the cult act Kammarheit and Hymnambulae, will release on the 1st of June via Cryo Chamber a new album entitled The Umbra Report. The Umbra Report is a dark and dreamy journey with ghostly electronics.
Is it depression, a séance, or an exorcism? Whatever it is, every nuance of it is thoroughly recorded and the result is terrifying. The tape machine is constantly hissing, every piece of machinery is making ominous noises, and something sings along. Pär Boström shows us again that he is a unique creator of sound design and paranormal electronics. Recommended for fans of warm tape recordings and pitch-black drones.
