FOREVER AUTUMN - Unveils First Single From Upcoming EP; Featuring Aaron Stainthorpe Of My Dying Bride

Massachusetts (USA) based avant-garde blackened folk/doom metal act Forever Autumn premiered online the first single, "The Forest And The Nyghtto", from the forthcoming EP entitled Crowned In Skulls, which will be unleashing on the 3rd of February 2023. The haunting, avant-garde act Forever Autumn is joined on this single by Aaron Stainthorpe of the legendary doom band My Dying Bride.

Forever Autum was formed in 2000 by the driving force, Autumn Ni Dubhghaill. This led to the band's first self-titled demo in 2001, and several others followed during that decade. In the 2010s, Forever Autumn moved on with a series of wider album releases, beginning with 2014’s Patience of ðm Fire-Keeper, and followed that with a reborn version of their 2008 debut full-length under the title Waiting For Öktober MMXVI, then 2019’s new Howls In The Forest At Dusk and more recently a 2021 EP, Hail The Forest Dark as well as contributing to various compilations and tribute releases.

Autumn Ni Dubhghaill comments about the new single: “'The Forest And The Nyght' is a very important song filled with layers of hidden messages and meaning. It was an honor to work with Aaron agayne. His parts perfectly compliment the mood and mystery of the piece. This, the first single, guides the listener through the wandered wood with ritual and primal magick.”

Since 2008, the band has comprised of cellist Jon McGrath and Autumn Ni Dubhghaill, with Jon as the stalwart complement to Autumn’s guitar, balalaika, bodhran, doom drum, rattle, cello, and wide breadth of vocal expression that ranges from melodic singing to screams, howls, and chants. Together, they create music that is elegant in its simplicity, and fragile in its beauty. Listen now to "The Forest And The Nyghtto" right below. Link
