The album has a clear crisp sound, with loads of throwbacks to the old days of the bands entire discography, but still this one is nothing like you would expect from a Dark Funeral record. Darkher - Realms

Darkher made a truly transcedental album that can't be really compared to anything done before, it's a sonic journey for your mind and soul, taking the listener into darkness filled with ever changing reflections of water. This is a walk through changeably stormy weather, most of the time it's cruel, but there are traces of sun and on the distant horizon you can see clearness. Mütterlein - Orphans Of The Black Sun

Truly insane, wicked, haunting and absolutely unique is the debut album of French act Mütterlein. Orphans Of The Black Sun is not an easy album, at least after a first couple of listens it might be even disturbing, but the whole thing might drastically change if you immerse yourself a bit more into this musical creation. This is an opus that conveys sadness and anguish of being, as beautiful as the biting cold of winter, yet as gloomy as a funeral of a loved one. LINK / REVIEW / LISTEN

NU:N - Naked Until Noema

Portuguese trio NU:N returns in such a great style with their sophomore full-lenght. Naked Until Noema has everything necessary to become a classic album inside the genre, it has that most needed magical pathos that grabs the listener with its claws and it doesn't let you go. It's hypnotic in its obscurity and gloomness, it's catchy enough, it evokes sensational melancholic feelings and by sliding between suspenseful warm and cold ambiances it embraces with some kind of harmonic infinity. Phragments - All Towers Must Fall

Phragments have perfectly balanced the rumbling drones with subtlety. We are able to realize the devastation which is being depicted, and we feel it in our bones. There is surely a cinematic element here, but it doesn't ever necessarily take the lead. From the album art to the theme and its execution, All Towers Must Fall hits the mark and brilliantly depicts a war-torn world in the midst of its devastation. LINK / REVIEW / LISTEN
