Belgium's black metallers Aerdryk have set 21 March as the release date for their sophomore album, Onzuiver, set to arrive via Amor Fati Productions on CD and vinyl.

Following the 2022 debut Met de drietand op mijn huid — steeped in the mischievous aura of '90s atmospheric black metal, driven by ethereal keyboards and deeply melodic basslines — Aerdryk, the solo project of C.V.B. (Wolvennest, Cult Of Erinyes, LVTHN, Erbeet Azhak et al.), returns with its second full‑length, Onzuiver ("Impure" in Flemish).

Make no mistake: Aerdryk return with fangs bared.

Melancholy still lingers, but the tone and the sound have hardened, mirroring the world itself. While not a concept album per se, a pervasive theme runs through Onzuiver: the Devil as metaphor, an ideological weapon raised against Christianity. The record exhales sulphur. C.V.B.'s vocals, more varied and venomous than in the project's early days, channel a heightened sense of hatred and defiance.

Onzuiver unfolds as a frenetic sonic pilgrimage through inspired riffs and almost a folk approach hidden behind the distortion, advocating the liberation of the mind and urging the listener to shatter the chains of submission. Here, Aerdryk openly reclaim the original mission of black metal: a clenched fist driven straight into the face of self-proclaimed Christian morality.

The release of Onzuiver will be accompanied by the vinyl repress of the debut and a split vinyl release with Oerheks. In the meantime, hear the brand-new track "Een Bestaan van Lijden". Link
