Arts Of Erebus - An Open Case Of Parousia: Rightly titled album  An open Case of Parousia offers inspirational guitar-driven soundscapes which are lyrically placed somewhere between life and death. There's no fillers in this album so it's hard to avoid the continuous playback of this intense gothic rock experience. Read a review HERE. Links: Website, Facebook

Depeche Mode - Delta Machine: After 33 years and monumental albums such as Black Celebration, Violator and Songs Of Faith And Devotion, after numerous hits that have been sealed down in the history of music, Depeche Mode delivered Delta Machine – bold, fresh, consistent and mature. The diversity of the songs and the ambient on the album is in perfect balance with the integrity of its sound. Read a review HERE. Links: Website, Facebook

Satyricon - Satyricon: "Black'n'roll" duo from Norway hasn't succumbed to the idea elitism in black metal and decided to keep a bit of glamour in their image. Dark and minimalistic black metal with great, mid-tempo heavy metal inspired guitar riffs and obscure atmosphere. Welcome to Necrohaven! Links: Website, Facebook

The Mission - The Brightest Light: Following The Missions story is like following the story of gothic rock and The Brightest Light shows how to keep the old fans interested in the band and yet sounding modern. Bands 11th studio album is rocking hard. Not really The Mission like they were in 80's, but still glorious. Links: Website, Facebook

Thy Light - No Morrow Shall Dawn: A lesson how to make depressive black metal! Melancholic piano passages, breathtaking orchestrations, gloomy ambiances, acoustic guitars, mind breaking vocals and hellish shrieks, always converging in a well controled melodic black metal devastation, where great guitar leads and dark atmospheres created by amazing use of keyboards and soaring, yet somehow peaceful acoustic guitar lines, makes this release one really enjoyable listen. Totengeflüster - Vom Seelensterben: This is high class symphonic black metal! They stick to the legacy of some old, lets say it "kvlt" Norwegian black metal, but adding the perfection of the most intricate, yet valuable atmospheric symphonic passages that Dimmu Borgir and some of their followers crafted in those twenty years. Tristania - Darkest White: Darkest White shows at the very beginning, with the opening track “Number”, that was time to get a bit bolder, more extreme and raw. What we witness is something a bit heavier than on previous three albums. A lot of emphasis is on growls. An album that got probably the most varied response from critics in 2013. Read a review HERE.
