French darkwave/ghost-folk duo -ii- (pronounced as "Two Eyes") just released their debut EP entitled Lighthouse. The EP consists of six tracks that were recorded, mixed and produced by Benjamin Racine at Mystic Cave Productions.
-ii- was formed in 2017 in the underground of Nancy (France), -ii- casts a dark ritual composed of electronic rhythms, intense atmospheres and sensual psalms. Lighthouse is a succession of landscapes and metaphors: a beam of light facing the darkness on the horizon, dark waves echoing on a black sand shore.
Heavily influenced by their first tour on the Reunion Island in March 2018, -ii- infused the spleen of the islands within six tracks. The aerial arrangements of Changing Places, the ethereal vocals of Lighthouse, the lascivious rhythm of Spine, the raw minimalism of Dust Bowl, altogether intertwined to lay the foundations of the band's aesthetic.
