Friends Of Alice Ivy - The Last Days Of Fenwyck
Sensual, fragile, yet melancholic but highly evocative atmospheric soundscapes, also this time Friends Of Alice Ivy combine well arranged minimalistic song structures with almost epic, slowly building ambiances, but yet they managed to make something even more unique and absolutely deep. The Last Days Of Fenwyck is one of those albums that are deeply melancholic on one side, but as well sparkling on another.

Ixion - Return
French atmospheric doom group on their third full-length deliver an ethereal and melancholic doom metal that is simultaneously dark and enriching, heavy and elegant. Return’s emotions, ideas and overall atmosphere present an ethereal work that is both magnificent and transcendental. On this album Ixion is combining the bleakness of doom metal and the darkness of gothic music with some beautiful and ethereal ambiences.

Hallatar - No Stars Upon The Bridge
Grief, sorrow, sadness, darkness and anger should be the words that describe this album and music performed by Hallatar. Hallatar brings doom, atmospheric crushing doom, sometimes at the border of funeral doom. All of the songs are pure gloom, there's so much transcedental melancholy inherited in here. Hallatar is a band formed by Swallow The Sun guitarist Juha Raivio, to commemorate the death of his partner and Trees Of Eternity vocalist Aleah Starbridge.

Near Earth Orbit - A.T.O.M.
Artaud Seth (Garden Of Delight, Merciful Nuns) and Ashley Dayour (Whispers In The Shadow, The Devil & The Universe) return with the fourth album under the monicker Near Earth Orbit. This is the most ambiental and maybe the most experimental album of Near Earth Orbit so far. This album takes us in the space between chaos and shape. A.T.O.M. is one of the most unique post-apocalyptic-ambient-rock releases ever!

Samael - Hegemony
Swiss pioneers of industrial black metal are finally back with a new album. Now it's time for Hegemony, six long years after the album Lux Mundi, which in a nice way connected all the sides and personalities of this extreme musical entity. Samael are around for over 30 years now and Hegemony is in its core very brutal and dark album, maybe even more than many death metal albums, even though it doesn't come close to that style.

Taake - Kong Vinter
From the rugged, rain-swept coastline of Bjoergvin, enclosed within the looming embrace of seven mountains, emerges the seventh full-length album from Taake, rising from the gloom like the beacon of traditional black metal. It is fresh, yet traditional in spirit. It is familiar to the ear, yet unexpectedly proceeds to wind its sinuous and unpredictable way through a soundscape that only a mother could love.

Zornheym - Where Hatred Dwells And Darkness Reigns
A genius, a brilliant mind that must be preserved for posterity, icon of perception, intelligence, dedication and artistic overcoming. Zornheym's absolute creator, Zorn (Tomas Nilsson), former Dark Funeral member, summoned up a symphonic extreme black metal album that blends a refined dark melody with crushing riffs, amazing acoustic guitars and percussion, stunningly orchestrated for a poetic psychological story.
